Kota Kinabalu: To ensure more efficient enforcement of halal products and certificates in the State, a role known as the Halal Compliance Monitoring Officer (PPPH) has been established by the Sabah Islamic Religious Council (Muis).

A total of 21 officers of the Sabah Islamic Religious Affairs Department (Jheains) were appointed during a PPPH workshop, organised by Muis, at Promenade Hotel, here, Saturday.

The two-day workshop aimed to strengthen the knowledge of the participants involved in halal enforcement. It was officiated by Muis Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ramlan Awang Ali.
