MANILA, Philippines — South Korean actress Park Shin-hye and actor Choi Tae-joon have welcomed their second child, a baby girl, on Tuesday.
Park’s agency, S.A.L.T. Entertainment, confirmed the birth, saying both the actress and her newborn daughter are healthy.
“We are pleased to share the happy news that actress Park Shin-hye gave birth to a healthy daughter today,” the agency said in a statement.
The agency added that Park was currently resting and recovering with the love and care of her family.
It also thanked fans and well-wishers for their congratulations and asked them to send their “warm blessings and support” to the newborn.
Park and Choi married in January 2022 after dating for four years. They welcomed their first child, a son, in May of the same year.
Park, who was born in 1990, made her entertainment debut in 2003 through singer Lee Seung-hwan’s music video for “Flower.” She later became one of South Korea’s well-known Hallyu stars through hit dramas including “Stairway to Heaven,” “You’re Beautiful,” “The Heirs,” and “Pinocchio.” She continued acting after marriage and motherhood, starring in “Doctor Slump,” “The Judge from Hell,” and most recently, “Undercover Miss Hong,” which concluded in March.
Meanwhile, Choi made his acting debut in the 2001 drama “Piano” and has appeared in several television productions, including “Iron Family.” With the birth of their daughter, Park and Choi are now parents of two.
