The weather has recently been unpredictable as it could be sunny one hour, and heavy rain the next. The meteorological department have stated that we are currently going through a phenomenon named ‘La Nina’.
More rain undoubtedly results in the possibility of flooding to happen in various areas, which is a real worry as flooding has caused an insane amount of damage to the country and the rakyat.
Recently, Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh took to Twitter to condemn the government for their solution to possible upcoming floods.

In her post, she wrote, “This is the way that BN is combating the floods in KL. Putting sandbags (which have burst and grass has grown on top of it!) and putting up a white tent to ‘visit the floods’“.
She attached a number of pictures in her post of sandbags next to a river in KL whilst some of the sandbags looked torn up and not in great condition.

What is the solution?
Her post has received plenty of attention from fellow Malaysians who had some mixed reactions towards her comments.
“Will stupid tweets like this settle the problem YB?”
Although some netizens agreed with what she was saying, some pointed out that instead of simply complaining, she should instead provide some workable solutions to the issue of flooding.
“So what’s your solution YB?” asked a netizen.

Another user commented, “Maybe you should share the appropriate solution. Don’t just rely on those in power. Because all of you are in charge of taking care of the rakyat.”

Meanwhile, another user pointed out how it seems that those from the opposition only voice out on issues when it is ‘politically convenient’.
“We have a huge serious environmental issue in Perak but because it is under PH. No voice or reply at all,” a user wrote.

What do you think of Yeoh’s tweet?
