The Pakatan Harapan (PH) Youth has called out PAS information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari for his double standards regarding the issue of vernacular schools, particularly in light of his criticism of DAP Kuala Kubu Baharu (KKB) by-election candidate Pang Sock Tao's education background.

PH Youth suggests that Fadhli should question his own party president, Tan Sri Hadi Awang, regarding why he chose to send his grandchildren to Chinese-type primary schools (SJKC) before continuously criticizing Pang's education.

PH Youth highlighted statements from S. Barathidasan, the former secretary of PAS non-Muslim supporters' group, Dewan Himpunan Penyokong PAS (DHPP), confirming Hadi's decision to enroll his grandchildren in SJKC. Additionally, they pointed out that another PAS member, Temerloh MP Salamiah Mohd Nor, also chose to send her child to an SJKC. PH Youth questions whether Hadi and Salamiah have lost faith in the national school system or if their children have lost their sense of patriotism by attending SJKCs.

PH Youth accuses Fadhli of hypocrisy and racism for attempting to undermine Pang's candidacy by playing up the vernacular school card, despite Pang's proficiency in the Malay language and her excellent SPM results, including an 'A' in Bahasa Melayu. They challenge Fadhli to focus on substantive issues rather than resorting to racial politics.

Furthermore, PH Youth urges voters in KKB to consider whether they want to support Perikatan Nasional (PN), which includes leaders like Fadhli who promote divisive rhetoric. They emphasize that it is not the culture of PH to sow hatred against other races and call on Fadhli to abandon racism and hypocrisy.

In response to Fadhli's criticism of Pang's education background, PH Youth points out that Fadhli himself has apologized to Pang for digging into her past but still questions her reluctance to list her primary and secondary school profile. They draw a comparison with DAP's former Bangi MP Ong Kian Ming, who openly stated his alma mater. PH Youth questions Fadhli's motives and suggests that his actions may be driven by a desire to undermine Pang's candidacy rather than genuine concern for transparency.

Overall, PH Youth's statement highlights the need for political leaders to focus on substantive issues and refrain from engaging in racial politics. They call on Fadhli to apologize for his divisive rhetoric and focus on promoting unity and inclusivity in Malaysian politics.
