
KUALA LUMPUR — Muslims across Malaysia will celebrate Hari Raya Aidiladha on Saturday, June 7, following the sighting of the Zulhijjah new moon.
The announcement was delivered live on TV1 by Assistant Secretary of the Conference of Rulers, Datuk Mohd Aseral Jusman, local media reported.
“The first day of Zulhijjah 1446H falls on May 29, 2025, therefore Hari Raya Korban or Aidiladha on 10 Zulhijjah 1446 for all states in Malaysia is set for Saturday, June 7 2025,” he said during the broadcast.
The date was determined based on moon sighting efforts carried out at 29 designated locations nationwide, including Bukit Jugra in Selangor, Teluk Kemang in Negeri Sembilan, and Bukit Tanjong Batu in Sabah. - May 27, 2025
