In a shocking turn of events, the wife of local comedian Harith Iskandar has confirmed that divorce proceedings have been filed.
According to Malay Mail, divorce proceedings are expected to be held at the Shariah Lower Court in Kuala Lumpur. However, the exact date remains unknown.
This comes after a photo showing Dr Jezamine Lim appearing in court while clad in a robe and headscarf and was accompanied by Shariah lawyer Datuk Akberdien Abdul Kadir, who is known for handling divorce cases involving local celebrities.
Harith Iskander’s wife confirms divorce filing
When contacted by Malay Mail, Dr Jezamine confirmed that she had indeed filed for divorce from Harith, which was initiated last month.
Yes, I have filed for divorce. I don’t recall the exact date of the application, but it was approximately a month ago.
Harith and Dr Jezamine first tied the knot on June 12, 2010, where they are parents to three children: Zander Xayne (14), Alessandra Jayne (11) and Zydane Zayne (nine).
However, Harith refused to comment on the matter when asked by mStar, saying, “I don’t have any comment for the moment. Maybe I will reveal more later on.”
