Haryana’s Public Works Department (PWD) and Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Minister Ranbir Gangwa called on Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi today to discuss various development and public welfare issues related to the state.
A government spokesperson said they held detailed discussions on strengthening road infrastructure in Haryana, expanding modern transport facilities, and improving connectivity across the state. The meeting was held at the Union Minister’s residence.
Gangwa said the main focus of the meeting was the construction of overbridges and underpasses at several locations along national highways passing through Haryana. He added that new road development plans, efforts to improve road connectivity in both rural and urban areas, and national highway projects will be taken up in Haryana soon.
“A strong road and transport network forms the foundation of a state’s economic and social development,” Gangwa said. “Improved connectivity not only helps increase trade and commerce but also provides greater convenience to the public in daily commuting.” He added that the Centre’s emphasis on modern road infrastructure across the country has accelerated development works in the region.
Gangwa also praised Gadkari’s working style, stating that he has fostered a new vision of development through expressways, highways, and modern road projects across India, and that his commitment to public service continues to motivate public representatives and officials.
