Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij today announced an incentive of Rs 1,100 from his discretionary fund for every person donating blood at blood donation camps. The announcement generated great enthusiasm among both donors and organisers.

Vij said blood donation is one of the greatest services to humanity, offering a new lease of life to those in need.

“When a person is struggling between life and death, every single drop of blood becomes invaluable. Blood cannot be produced in any factory, nor can it be artificially manufactured. It is a priceless gift that one human being can give to another, capable of saving lives and offering a new beginning,” he said.

Vij was addressing a blood donation camp organised by the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation Trust in Ambala Cantonment.
