Haryana will construct 26 new Government Ayurvedic Dispensaries across six districts of the state at an estimated cost of Rs 15.70 crore under the non-recurring civil works category. The initiative is aimed at strengthening AYUSH healthcare infrastructure and improving access to traditional healthcare services in rural areas.

Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare & Ayush Department, Dr Sumita Misra, informed today that the dispensaries will be constructed in Yamunanagar (10), Mahendragarh (6), Rewari (5), Kurukshetra (3), Karnal (1) and Gurugram (1).

Dr Misra said that the cost estimates for the construction of the 26 Government Ayurvedic Dispensaries have been received from the Development and Panchayats Department, Haryana.

In Yamunanagar district, 10 dispensaries will be constructed at Bhangera, Tajewala, Khurdban, Talakaur, Mahiyudinpur, Darpur, Dhakwala, Dadupur Head, Damoli and Leda Khadar villages, each at an estimated cost of Rs 59.17 lakh for each dispensary.

In Kurukshetra district, dispensaries will be established at Ajrana Kalan (Rs 59.15 lakh), Kalsa (Rs 59.74 lakh) and Mohri (Rs 59.15 lakh), while in Karnal district, a dispensary will be constructed at Phaphrana village at a cost of Rs 59.17 lakh.

In Rewari district, five dispensaries will be constructed at Rohrai, Jhabwa, Jai Singhpur Khera and Karawara Manakpur villages at Rs 59.17 lakh each, and at Lisan village at Rs 59 lakh.

In Mahendragarh district, six dispensaries will come up at Gudha, Bawania, Rasulpur, Buchawas, Surajanwas and Rambas villages, each with an estimated construction cost of Rs 64.50 lakh for each dispensary.

In Gurugram district, one dispensary will be established at Sahjawas village at an estimated cost of Rs 58.63 lakh.

Dr Misra said the new dispensaries will significantly expand the reach of Ayurvedic healthcare services, particularly in rural areas, while further strengthening Haryana’s AYUSH infrastructure. The project will be executed through the Panchayati Raj Department in coordination with the concerned agencies. She said the initiative will improve the availability of preventive and traditional healthcare services and ensure better access to quality Ayurvedic treatment facilities for residents of the identified districts.
