The Haryana Government has decided to provide free travel in Haryana Roadways buses to candidates appearing in recruitment examinations conducted by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC).
The facility will cover candidates appearing in written examinations, skill tests, Physical Measurement Tests (PMT), and Physical Screening Tests (PST), but will be available only on the day of the examination.
The move comes as the recruitment process for around 5,500 constable posts in Haryana Police is underway, with the written examination still pending.
According to directions issued by the Chief Secretary’s office, the proposal has been formally approved.
An official order has also been forwarded to the Transport Department, directing it to make advance arrangements of buses and logistics during exam schedules to ensure smooth movement of candidates.
Authorities have been instructed to share exam schedules in advance so that adequate buses can be deployed across districts, enabling candidates—especially from remote areas—to reach examination centres without difficulty.
Candidates will be able to travel free of cost by producing their admit card and valid ID, ensuring that only genuine aspirants avail the facility.
Meanwhile, to enhance transparency in the selection process, HSSC has introduced an electronic real-time live timing system for the PST.
The system provides instant tracking of runners’ times and laps, eliminating manual errors and allowing candidates to immediately view their exact running times and qualification status.
The real-time display is aimed at ensuring greater transparency and reducing disputes related to performance evaluation.
