Our 2023 year end trip was to Hat Yai, Thailand. My husband and me have this habit of making spontaneous trips, and so we will just choose a place and with our budget, we will start our journey.
So, while having lunch on December 1st, we decided on this trip and booked our bus tickets online right away. So our bus was scheduled at 10:30pm, at the Terminal bus station. We came home, packed our bags, got ready and left for our trip without any planning.
We reached the bus station and waited for our bus. Then boarded our bus, It was an 8 hour journey, which allowed us to sleep throughout the bus ride. We woke up once we reached the immigration, did all the necessary procedures and made our way into Hat Yai, Thailand.
Hat Yai is a beautiful place, where getting around by the Tuk tuk made it a seamless experience. My husband made friends with a Tuk Tuk driver, which then became our personal driver. He even gave explanations and ideas for a better trip too.
Upon reaching, we had a dim sum awesome lunch and matcha too which are my favourites. Then, we went to the hotel at lee gardens to rest for a bit. Lee Gardens is a very happening area, especially at night with all the massage parlours, various food stalls and also the plaza. Loved the location! The vibes here is just awesome. My husband and me had a foot massage date.
Next morning, I went for a Thai body massage which I regretted, was my first and definitely my last. Then my husband and I got our lion tattoos where we spent our whole day there, as the price of tattoos are very much affordable in Thailand.
The last day here, we went to Samila beach, had our beach view lunch and just enjoyed each other’s company. A very calm and peaceful lunch. Our dinner was just random street food at Lee gardens, and I had my mango sticky rice too! And matcha again.
Thank you Hat Yai for an experience of a lifetime. Can't wait to be back and spend more days at Hat Yai doing more fun and exciting things, of course with my husband.
