Being a regular at a restaurant comes with its perks. It’s nice when your favourite place knows exactly how you like your food and drinks without having to ask. If you’re lucky, you might even get a free meal or a discount.
In a recent video shared by @bangsuduu2, he shares a heartwarming moment of him giving one of his regular customers a discount for him and his friends’ meals.
The uncle got a discount on his meal!
In the video, a regular customer, referred to as “the uncle,” approached the cashier to pay his bill. To his surprise, the cashier gave him a discount as a reward for something kind the uncle had been doing.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, @bangsuduu2, the owner of “Nasi Lemak Bangsudu” in Sungai Buloh, shared that every time the uncle comes to his restaurant after his checkup, he always brings his friends along to eat.
He would always pay for his friends
@bangsuduu2 continued to share how the uncle always recommends the best dishes to his friends, encouraging them to get 2 to 3 dishes per meal. The uncle is so generous that he insists on paying the bill every time.
“Yesterday, I was at the restaurant and noticed that the staff always talk about how kind this uncle is. I know about it too because I see him every day.”
@bangsuduu2 went on to explain that since he was at the restaurant when the uncle came, he decided to surprise him with a discount by playing a game.
He only had to pay RM8.02!
In the video, as the uncle walked up to the cashier to pay his bill, he was told that his total was RM89.10. However, @bangsuduu2 informed him that he would receive a discount based on his phone’s battery percentage.
Sure enough, the uncle’s battery level was at 91% and so, he was given a 91% discount (RM81.10 off), reducing his bill to only RM8.02.
“The uncle was speechless and very happy about getting the discount, and he told his friends about it. My wife has also worked at the cashier, and she said that this uncle always buys the sambal packs I sell and tells his wife to cook them at home.”
When the uncle discovered he only had to pay RM8.02, he immediately thanked @bangsuduu2 for his act of kindness.
