A 32-year-old Malaysian man breathed his last when he was on duty allegedly due to overwork.

Ahmad Farhan Othman, a Malaysian food delivery rider passed away at work on October 2, which was a major shock to his wife, who said her deceased husband never had any illnesses. Ahmad was working 2 jobs to support his wife and 3 kids, and apart from being a food delivery rider, he was also a van driver, a new job that he got early in September.

However, life had not been easy for him.

According to his wife, Ahmad has been working every single day for more than 12 hours, clocking in before sunrise at 7:30 AM and only clocking out after dark at 8:30 PM.

“He had been telling me about how tired he was recently. It makes sense because he left home as early as 7:30 AM to send the kids to school before he started working.”

Ahmad’s wife continued and explained,

“He would drive the van until 5PM, then continued to deliver food until nighttime, usually until around 8:30 PM.”

According to the doctor who performed a post-mortem on Ahmad, it was revealed that 75% of his heart was blocked, which the doctor believed was caused by overworking.

His wife also said that Ahmad had always been hardworking and caring throughout his life.

“He didn’t say any last words to me, but he always reminded the kids to take care of me and each other.”

Ahmad previously appeared in the TikTok video of a local content creator, @mrbeast_malaysia, in which he received a banknote from the content creator as a surprise.
