SIPITANG: A viral photo showing a primary school pupil with a head injury was not linked to bullying but an accident that happened while playing with classmates at SK Padang Berampah on Thursday.
School headmaster Ag Ku Jainuddin Ag Wahab said an initial probe found that the injury occurred during playtime and not due to a fight as speculated on social media.
He said the school took full responsibility and immediately sent the injured pupil to the hospital for treatment.
The headmaster added that the photo circulating online was taken while the pupil was being transported to the hospital, and that the parents had been informed.
District police chief Supt Awang Ak Suanda confirmed the incident and said investigations were ongoing.
