KOTA BELUD: Former Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Salleh Mohd Said emphasised the need for Sabah to be granted autonomy in managing the health service sector, echoing the demands made by Sarawak.

Highlighting the issue of the shortage of specialists and medical officers in the state, particularly at Kota Belud Hospital, Salleh believed that granting autonomy to the State Government would enable more effective management of healthcare resources.

He emphasised the urgent need for a specialist doctor and additional medical officers to cater to the growing population of Kota Belud.
