TAWAU: Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad declined to confirm whether a police report had been lodged against the Queen Elizabeth Hospital doctor on duty who failed to insist on a post-mortem in the Zara Qairina Mahathir case.

“Sending our best forensic experts shows how seriously we are taking this case. After that, it is up to the police to handle the investigation,” Dr Dzulkefly said, when wrapping up his three-day visit to Sabah, which ended in Tawau on Thursday.

When pressed by Daily Express whether any medical staff would face action over the case, he said: “That is all I want to say about it. We have done our part by providing three top forensic specialists. That is our contribution.”
