- The first X-Men film in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) history appears to be causing a casting frenzy in Hollywood as actors are reportedly meeting with the studio to lobby for roles.
- Director Jake Schreier and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige are believed to be meeting with a number of contenders for each role, and according to Deadline, Heartstopper’s Kit Connor is the top choice to play Cyclops, a role previously played by James Marsden.
- Samara Weaving, star of Ready or Not, is rumoured to be cast as Emma Frost, a character previously seen in X-Men: First Class.
- This new film will introduce a fresh generation of actors for the mutant characters, separate from former X-Men cast members who are set to appear in Avengers: Doomsday.
- Plans to fold the X-Men into the MCU have been in the works ever since 21st Century Fox merged with Disney in 2019.
