
Heat wave conditions are likely to persist in parts of Himachal Pradesh on June 10, with the Meteorological Centre issuing a yellow alert for three districts.
According to the centre, a yellow warning has been issued for Una, Bilaspur and Solan districts, where heat wave conditions are expected at isolated places throughout Tuesday.
During this period, both minimum and maximum temperatures across the state are likely to rise by 2°C to 3°C, resulting in significantly warmer weather. However, the centre has also forecast heavy rainfall and hailstorms in several parts of Himachal Pradesh from June 11 to June 15, for which orange and yellow alerts have been issued.
Meanwhile, the weather remained largely dry across the state during the past 24 hours, with most areas experiencing sunny conditions. Minimum temperatures stayed within the normal range, varying between 6°C and 26°C, while maximum temperatures were 2°C to 3°C above normal and ranged between 22°C and 43°C.
The maximum temperature recorded in Shimla was 27.5°C, Dharamshala 35°C, Manali 27.2°C, Kangra 38.8°C, Mandi 38°C, Sundernagar 37.4°C, Kufri 23.1°C, Kalpa 23.8°C, Nahan 36.3°C, Bhuntar 35.2°C, Keylong 21.7°C and Chamba 34.4°C.
With a maximum temperature of 42.8°C, Una was the hottest place in the state, while Kukumseri in Lahaul and Spiti district was the coldest, recording a minimum temperature of 6.2°C.
