KUCHING: A section of the external ceiling structure along the inner lane of the pick-up and drop-off area at Kuching International Airport (KIA) was affected by heavy rainfall and strong winds today.
Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) said in a statement today that the affected area had been secured, while its teams were on site conducting safety inspections and coordinating the necessary response measures.
“Our primary concern is the safety and wellbeing of passengers, airport users and staff,” it said.
MAHB said airport operations remained ongoing, with efforts focused on ensuring safe access to the terminal and minimising inconvenience to passengers.
