Hellas Verona coach Gabriele Cioffi says they had no option but to let Giovanni Simeone leave this week.
Simeone has joined Napoli on-loan with the option to buy.
Cioffi explained: "The choice was clear with Simeone.
“He was no longer motivated, so he was out. Antonin is in a grey zone.
"He is a great professional, he wasn't fully fit when the pre-season began, but now he is recovering and at some point, sudden choices are made."
