TAMBUNAN: Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan hopes the Huminodun 5KM Charity Walkathon programme can raise the spirit of welfare and unity among the people in conjunction with this year’s Kaamatan Festival.
He said this also has other benefits because it shows that Unduk Ngadau is not only about competing and winning competitions but also have an important role in society and the welfare of the community, especially the disabled.
“This programme also brings awareness in our society, especially among the young people, in whatever social responsibility we have in developing the society leading to unity,” he said after flagging off the participants of the Huminodun 5KM Charity Walkathon programme here.
