MANILA, Philippines—Health Secretary Ted Herbosa reportedly sent his letter of resignation to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday.
A source told The Manila Times that Herbosa resigned following a knee operation.
“My operation has made me realize that l also need to take care of myself. I will be on extensive rehabilitation for 3-4 months and I find it unfair that I will not be able to devote my full time and effort to important matters of DOH,” the source quoted Herbosa as saying.
Malacanang has yet to issue a statement regarding Herbosa's alleged resignation.
