MANILA, Philippines — Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano called on Health Secretary Ted Herbosa to resign over the alleged delayed procurement of flu vaccines.
"Secretary Herbosa should resign. He promised during the budget hearings that there won’t be any delays,” Cayetano said in a press briefing on Wednesday.
He questioned why the DOH was unable to procure the vaccines on time, while the city of Taguig was able to secure and roll out flu vaccines for its residents.
The Manila Times sought comment from the Department of Health but has yet to receive a response.
