The TuJu app offers real-time traffic, toll info and live CCTV to help motorists plan smoother journeys during the festive season.

BATU PAHAT: Highway users are encouraged to use the Malaysian Highway Authority’s (LLM) new TuJu application during the upcoming Aidilfitri celebrations.

Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Maslan said the app serves as a vital reference for planning journeys to avoid congestion.

“Through these objectives, TuJu serves as an alternative initiative which combines technology and safety to ensure a smoother, faster and safer travel experience,” he said.

He highlighted that the app provides various highway-related information including integrated navigation. It is equipped with smart features like accurate navigation, real-time toll and traffic updates, and details on rest areas.

The application also offers live access to 33 LLM-operated CCTV cameras for checking current highway conditions. It includes an emergency assistance function for user safety.

Ahmad said the app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. This allows motorists to plan their departure times and necessary travel arrangements effectively.

“This application will greatly facilitate highway users, as they can plan when to leave home,” he said.

He was speaking to reporters after a breaking-of-fast and food basket presentation event for asnaf in the Penggaram area today.

Regarding festive traffic management, Ahmad mentioned the activation of the Smart Lane operation during Aidilfitri. He said its implementation would be based on real-time traffic needs and conditions on the highways.

The public can refer to the Ministry of Works and PLUS websites for details on Smart Lane operations and their specific locations.
