A pall of gloom descended on Kardiyal village in Jawali subdivision on Monday after a 16-year-old boy drowned in Dehar khud while bathing with his friends.

The deceased, identified as Bansh, had gone to the rivulet along with his friends Akash and Surjeet in the afternoon. According to preliminary information, he accidentally slipped into a deep portion of the stream and drowned.
