SDM Ishant Jaswal administered the oath of office to all elected councillors of the Kangra Municipal Council.
For the post of president, only one nomination was received, resulting in the unanimous election of Suman Verma. Raj Kumari was elected vice-president of the MC as only one nomination was filed for the post.
Congratulating the councillors, the SDM said with the formation of the Municipal Council’s executive body, developmental activities in Kangra would gain momentum.
After her election, Suman Verma interacted with the Chief Minister through video-conferencing.
Ajay Verma, Vice-Chairman of the Himachal Road Transport Corporation, was also present on the occasion.
