TAWAU: The issue of forced labour is still a problem in the State, but it is not easy to prove it, said Sabah Director of the Manpower Department, Wan Zulkifli Wan Setapa.
“For example, when a person without valid documents is recruited to work, this in itself is a form of forced labour.
“Normally, the employee without valid documents is not willing to come forward to be our witness against his or her employer,” he pointed out.
