Former Germany coach Ottmar Hitzfeld has backed the return of Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos.
Kroos is considering ending his international exile so to play for Germany at the summer Euros.
Hitzfeld, who gave Kroos his chance with Bayern Munich, said: "Toni Kroos is a very experienced and successful player with Real Madrid.
"Germany has many strong midfielders, but I can imagine that Toni Kroos, with her experience, intelligence, simplicity of play and organizational talent, would be beneficial to the team."
Among the motivations for Kroos is to be able to play for Germany at home in front of his children - a last chance before his retirement.
