Travellers should check the status of their upcoming ski holidays following the liquidation of another UK travel provider.
Ski Yodl Ltd has cancelled all of its holiday bookings after more than eight years of operations.
The company, based in Norwich, Norfolk, launched in March 2018, selling ski holidays to several European destinations, as well as accommodation including self-catered ski chalets, apartments and hotels across the Alps.
SkiYodl was founded and run by Oliver Dannatt, a former private ski instructor for Richard Branson, and his business partner Simon Latarche.
According to the company’s LinkedIn page: “SkiYodl is a collective of ski industry professionals driven to create a customer-centric booking experience with skiing at its core.
“The knowledge and expertise the team has amassed during decades of mountain living are allowing them to create the largest online marketplace of hand-picked stays and experiences in the mountains.”
As of 22 July, operations by Ski Yodl Ltd will also no longer be protected by the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA).
A notice from ABTA said: “We are sorry to inform you that former ABTA member, Ski Yodl Ltd, is subject to a voluntary winding-up order and appointed a liquidator for that purpose on 22 July 2026.”
Although no ABTA-protected package holidays were booked at the time of liquidation, accommodation-only holidays may be affected.
Customers who paid by credit or debit card are advised to contact their card issuer for assistance with obtaining a refund by ABTA.
Other customers who paid by bank transfer will need to register a claim with the appointed liquidator, RCM Advisory Limited.
The closure comes weeks after young people who had paid thousands of pounds to spend their summers working on conservation projects abroad were left with nothing after tour operator GVI entered liquidation.
GVI announced it would be closing on 1 July and removed its website, despite advertising trips in the days leading up to the announcement.
