Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail expressed condolences after Constable Muhammad Rahimi Amirudin drowned in Sepang flood incident

KUALA LUMPUR: Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail has conveyed his condolences to the family of Constable Muhammad Rahimi Amirudin, who drowned after being swept away by strong currents near Klinik Desa Giching in Sepang.

He described the policeman’s passing as a tremendous loss to the Royal Malaysia Police and the nation’s entire security forces.

“May his soul be granted forgiveness and mercy, and placed among the righteous,” Saifuddin said in a Facebook post.

“I also pray that Allah bestows reward upon him for his service and contributions to the country.”

The victim’s body was found at 7.30 am today by the search team.

The constable’s Perodua Bezza had skidded into a drain in the flood-hit area near Klinik Desa Giching at 11 pm on Friday. – Bernama
