  • Home Office data indicates that dinghies used for Channel crossings are now carrying an average of 71 people during winter months.
  • Work visas for foreign nationals decreased by 19 per cent, primarily due to stricter health and care visa requirements, while student visas also saw a 3 per cent reduction.
  • The number of migrants housed in hotels fell by 19 per cent to 30,657, though those in other Home Office contingency accommodation increased by 2 per cent to 72,769.
