- A 100-pound pig named Honey has been successfully adopted following a public appeal by Pasadena Humane shelter, California.
- Pasadena Humane representatives confirmed the adoption to City News Service on Wednesday afternoon.
- "Meet Honey, the 100-pound pig who's as sweet as her name! Honey's guardian was unable to care for her anymore, so she's seeking a new home that's the right fit for her," the shelter wrote on Facebook.
- Shelter officials warned that keeping pigs requires specialised care and space, with local ownership laws differing significantly across jurisdictions.
- The shelter emphasised that pigs are extremely intelligent and social, making them great companions when given appropriate environments.
