Hong Leong Bank (HLB) has announced updates to its Google Pay services, which will take effect from 25 March 2025.

Currently, for any debit or credit card transactions via Google Pay exceeding RM250, cardholders must unlock their device and provide PIN verification at the point of sale. With the update, device unlocking will be required only for transactions above RM250, removing the need for PIN verification.

Additionally, Google Pay transactions are currently included in the Contactless Daily Cumulative Limit. After the update, these transactions will no longer count towards this limit.

HLB will also update its Cardholder Agreement to reflect these new procedures. Customers are encouraged to review the changes to ensure a smooth transition. For further information, visit HLB’s official website or contact their customer service.
