Birthday surprises are 1 of the best things you can get to celebrate the day. Some people receive cakes, cards, and jewelry for those who have bigger budgets. A Malaysian woman in Seremban, however, got something entirely different as a birthday surprise.
She got honked at by the drivers around her as a surprise; or as a cute prank rather. In a TikTok post by @izzahanuar52, Izzah, who was in the passenger seat was trying to hold her laughter when the driver, Idayu, who was also the birthday girl looked around to figure out why she got honked at by almost all drivers.
“What is their problem?” Idayu asked.
The honking continued and Idayu asked the same question but this time, she got a little more irritated. Idayu looked at the drivers who overtook her to figure out what was with the constant honking, but she was left clueless.
“I’m a good driver, okay,” Idayu tried telling other drivers “telepathically”.
She had no choice but to endure the honking until they reached their destination – a mall in Seremban. Little did Idayu know, it was a prank carefully crafted by Izzah, who put a note on the boot of her Bezza that said,
“It’s my birthday. Honk 3 times to wish me!”
Who knew that many drivers in Seremban would happily “collaborate” with Izzah to make the birthday surprise a success?
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Izzah said that Idayu is not only her colleague but also a close friend. She said that Idayu had no idea about the note on the boot of her car until they reached their destination, and Izzah had her own way of distracting Idayu from noticing the note.
“I told her I was going to put my laptop in the boot, and I wanted to look for something in my bag. I was actually taking the time to stick the note.”
Idayu also thanked all the friendly Seremban drivers who “took part” in the surprise plan by honking at Idayu.

Izzah definitely has her own way of surprising her BFF on her birthday. Perhaps, this is an idea that you can borrow to surprise your friend on his/her birthday too! One thing is for sure, Idayu’s ability to remain calm despite being continuously honked at is truly admirable!
