HONOR X9e Pro Is Coming With 5 ‘No.1’ Claims, Here’s What It Packs | WeirdKaya

You know that feeling when you leave the house with 30% battery and immediately start calculating how long you can survive?

Well, HONOR seems to have looked at that problem and gone, “Okay, let’s just give you a REALLY big battery.”

Its upcoming HONOR X9e Pro packs a massive 11,000mAh battery, but that’s not the only big number HONOR is talking about.

The phone is coming in with five “No.1” claims covering its battery, durability, water resistance, display and the X series’ position in Malaysia’s mid-range smartphone market.

And honestly, some of the things they put this phone through are pretty wild.

11,000mAh. Yes, you read that correctly

Let’s start with the feature most of us would probably appreciate: that HUGE battery.

The HONOR X9e Pro comes with an 11,000mAh battery, which HONOR claims is the largest battery capacity in the industry.

Under HONOR’s lab testing, a full charge can deliver up to 66.8 hours of video playback, 164.5 hours of music playback or 35.6 hours of scrolling through short videos.

So basically, if you’re the friend who is always asking, “Eh, got charger ah?”, this might be particularly interesting.

And plot twist: you might end up becoming everyone else’s charger instead.

The X9e Pro supports 27W reverse wired charging, meaning you can use its battery to charge things like your earbuds, power bank or even another phone. It also supports 80W wired charging when the X9e Pro itself needs some juice.

Now, having a giant battery is nice, but it doesn’t mean much if one accidental drop ends the whole story.

So HONOR went pretty hard on durability too.

The X9e Pro uses a chassis design inspired by the crash-beam principle found in race cars, which is meant to channel impact through the frame and protect important components inside the phone.

HONOR also tested it on more than 10 types of surfaces, including the ones we really don’t want our phones meeting: tiles, marble, granite, asphalt and cobblestone.

But apparently, dropping it wasn’t dramatic enough.

During a live demonstration, rubber pellets were fired from an air gun directly at the phone’s screen multiple times, and according to HONOR, the display continued working normally afterwards.

The phone has also earned the SGS Premium Performance Certification of Drop & Crush Resistance.

And apparently, getting wet isn’t enough to scare it either

We’re not just talking about surviving a little rain here.

The HONOR X9e Pro carries IP68, IP69 and IP69K certifications, with its water resistance tested at depths of up to 10 metres.

HONOR says the phone’s waterproofing architecture is actually inspired by submarines, using multiple layers of protection and compartmentalised sealing to keep its important components protected.

It has even gone through a 24-hour continuous salt-spray test for environments such as humid or seaside areas.

Not saying you should purposely throw your phone into the sea, lah. But it’s nice knowing it was built with water resistance in mind.

Using your phone under the Malaysian sun should be easier too

If you’ve ever stepped outside at noon, turned your brightness all the way up and STILL struggled to read your screen, you’ll understand this one.

The X9e Pro can reach a peak brightness of 10,000 nits, which HONOR says is 67% brighter than the previous generation.

That should come in particularly handy under Malaysia’s very unforgiving sunshine.

The X series has been doing pretty well in Malaysia too

HONOR says its X series has been Malaysia’s best-selling mid-range smartphone series for four consecutive generations.

According to the brand, the series held the No.1 position for 37 consecutive months from February 2023 to March 2026, with its market share reaching as high as 77% in Q4 2025.

Globally, HONOR says the X series has now surpassed 130 million users.

And now, the next member of the family is almost here.

The HONOR X9e Pro will officially launch in Malaysia on 24 September 2026, when we’ll find out more about the device.
