If you’ve already nabbed your tickets to the Hoobastank concert happening tonight (February 10th, 2025) in Kuala Lumpur, here’s everything you should know to ensure that your evening goes off without a hitch.

Announced in the latter part of 2024, American rock band Hoobastank will be marking their return to local shores as part of a brief tour in Southeast Asia, which will see the band take to the stage in Manila as well. The quartet last performed in Kuala Lumpur during 2018 as part of the headlining acts for the Mercedes-Benz Urban Hunting event.

While initially slated to take place at Zepp KL, the concert venue has since been moved to The Exchange Hall OUG along Jalan Awan Berarak.

Keep in mind that as the new venue isn’t accessible via any of the city’s main mediums of public transport and with limited parking spots available, you are strongly advised to plan your journey accordingly using e-hailing services for convenience.

Upon your arrival at the concert venue, please note that each ticket will grant admission to one (1) individual and that all tickets sold are non-transferable. Tickets will be dispensed through your email, Ticketmelon website, or on the Ticketmelon app which can be downloaded on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

At the door, have a screenshot of your ticket’s QR code ready or obtain a physical printout of your QR code from the PDF sent to your email. You may be asked to present your ID for verification purposes. Doors open from 7.15pm onwards, with the show expected to start at 8pm.

For concert veterans, you’ll probably know what you should and shouldn’t bring with you during a live show. But in case you forget, or if this happens to be your first concert in a while, here is a list of prohibited items that you should be leaving at the door:

  • Bags larger than A4 size: Keep your belongings to your essentials only, this isn’t the place for everything and the kitchen sink.
  • Outside food and drinks: Either fill your tummy before the show or head for supper after as you will not be allowed to bring any outside food and drinks into the concert hall.
  • Laptops or tablets: You’re here to enjoy a live performance, not take a conference call. So leave your large-format electronics at home.
  • Professional photography or video equipment: Record your keepsake memories on your phone. This is no place for a concert film in the making.
  • Laser pens, glowsticks, or fireworks: Nobody needs to be blinded at a concert, so don’t try sneaking these in.
  • Banners larger than A4 size: If you’re trying to pass a message along to the band from the audience pit, don’t obstruct everyone else’s view by bringing a banner along.
  • Weapons, flammable items, or drugs: Obviously.
  • Cigarettes or e-cigarettes: Your nicotine habit can wait after the show.
  • Glass bottles or alcoholic beverages: So can your beers.
  • Selfie sticks or tripods: Learn to appreciate the art of the 0.5 selfie and don’t bring your selfie sticks with you.

Insofar as setlist predictions are concerned, seasoned fans can expect a slew of their most notable singles from across six studio albums. Some of their most recent gigs should indicate what songs you should know by heart ahead of the Hoobastank Kuala Lumpur concert.
