TAWAU: The approval process for land surveys and the declaration of settlements will be expedited to ensure that the four squatter villages in the Kukusan State Legislative Assembly will receive approval in the near future.
Parti Harapan Rakyat Sabah President, Tan Sri Liew Yun Fah, said there was no issue related to the Sabah State election as the residents of these squatter villages have been living there for over 40 years.
He added that the speed of the process now depends on the villagers themselves to expedite the submission of documentation to the Tawau District Land and Survey Department.
