SABAH FC completed the Super League fixtures on Sunday with a 0-1 defeat to Perak FC here at Likas Stadium.
I was not at all surprised with the starting line-up by head coach Martin Stano to field in new faces with some familiar ones for the match after all the third place was already secured following the 1-1 draw with Kedah Darul Naim FC last week and the 0-2 defeat of Kuching City FC by Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) FC last Wednesday.
It was just a formality to play the last game of the season as the final result bore no consequence on the table standing. Rawilson Batuil as captain was tasked to manage the defence and I thought he had a good game despite the own goal.
