
Kota Kinabalu: The Chinese Jiangxi Provincial Government hopes the sister province relationship as agreed upon four years ago be reimplemented after being disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
State Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship (MIDE) Minister, Phoong Jin Zhe, received a courtesy visit from the Jiangxi Provincial Government led by its Deputy Director General (Affairs Office) Huang Xiao Yan.
Also present were Vice President of Jiangxi Agricultural University, Liu Mu Hua, Director of the International Relations Department of the Jiangxi Council for International Trade Promotion, Hou Tao, Director of Jiangxi Education and coordinating International Cooperation and Teacher Development Centre, Liu Bo.
Representing the University of Jiangxi Medicine was the Deputy Dean of the College of International Education, Zhou Ping Sheng, as well as Chief Officer of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Jiangxi Province People’s Government, Xie Tian, as the delegation’s interpreter.

“Sabah is an attractive tourist destination and even people from Jiangxi also travel to this State.
“Jiangxi has various major industries such as Light Emitting Diode (LED) industry, automobile industry and textile industry,” Huang said.
Phoong talked about the cold chain industry such as seafood exports to China.
“The cultural diversity in Sabah is a major attraction and strength for foreign investors to invest in the State,” he added.
