SANDAKAN: The critical shortage of hospital here is reaching a breaking point, fueled by the government’s decade-long failure to deliver on the promised Rancangan Sungai Manila Hospital.
Libaran MP Datuk Suhaimi Nasir has sharply criticised this inaction, highlighting the severe strain on the Duchess of Kent Hospital (HDOK), the district’s sole public hospital.
AdvertisementSuhaimi, also Sabah Umno Information Chief, said the hospital’s inclusion in Malaysia’s 10th, 11th, and 12th Malaysia Plans, yet its construction remains stalled.
He questioned the government’s priorities, suggesting political motivations behind the delay given that Libaran is an opposition-held constituency.
