KENINGAU: A house was destroyed in a fire at Kampung Gasabon, Apin-Apin, here late Sunday night.
The Fire and Rescue Department received the emergency call at 10.56pm and firefighters from the Keningau station arrived at the scene about 20 kilometres away at 11.20pm.
The blaze involved a non-permanent house, which was destroyed, but no casualties were reported.
Firefighters brought the fire under control at 11.26pm using one 200-foot hose line with two nozzles and water from a nearby river, with operations ending at 12.07am.
