KOTA MARUDU: A house in Kampung Tambun was badly damaged by a fallen tree while its nine occupants were away in Kuala Lumpur for a university convocation.
Nurul Mashitah Farahin, 24, said her family, including her ill parents, were attending her graduation ceremony at Universiti Islam Selangor when the incident occurred.
No one was injured, and relatives nearby helped to alert the fire department and manage the situation.
