MANILA, Philippines — The House Committee on Justice on Wednesday dismissed the impeachment complaints filed against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
This came after the panel deliberated on the sufficiency in substance of the two complaints, which it earlier found to be sufficient in form.
For the first complaint filed by lawyer Andre de Jesus and endorsed by House Deputy Minority Leader and Pusong Pinoy Rep. Jernie Jett Nisay, 42 lawmakers voted to dismiss it, one was against and three abstained.
In the second complaint, 39 lawmakers found it insufficient in substance.
