MANILA, Philippines — House Secretary-General Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil said that it is now reproducing the articles of impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte prior to their submission to the Senate.
"The Articles of Impeachment and their attachments, which number in the thousands of pages, are currently being reproduced, collated, and checked to ensure that all copies are appropriately organized to ensure that each copy is a faithful reproduction of what was approved by the House of Representatives," Garafil said in a statement on Tuesday.
Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano on Tuesday said that the Senate is ready to act "forthwith" with the impeachment complaint of Duterte without delays.
The House of Representatives has already elected the 11 members that would comprise the Prosecution team.
