
Households will pay more for electricity and gas from October to December due to higher energy costs. Electricity tariffs for homes will increase by 0.08 cent per kilowatt-hour (kWh), while gas tariffs will increase by 0.07 cent per kWh, before goods and services tax (GST). In a statement on Sept 30, grid operator SP Group said electricity tariffs for households will go up by 0.3 per cent from the previous quarter.
