KOTA KINABALU: A 47-year-old housewife here loses RM508,500 to a love scam, reported Deasoka.
The woman befriended a man through Facebook in July before communicating via WhatsApp.
The man then told the victim that he needed money to go to Malaysia to arrange his father’s inheritance.
The woman then transferred the money in several transactions to an account owned by another woman.
