  • Peebles assaulted a staff member and began filling a bag with items from behind the counter during the incident.
  • The quick-thinking shop worker, after leaving the premises, closed the shutter, effectively trapping Peebles inside the shop.
  • CCTV footage showed Peebles unsuccessfully trying to force his way out before police arrived and arrested him as he exited.
  • Peebles pleaded guilty to robbery at Warwick Crown Court and was subsequently sentenced to four years and four months in prison.
