Kota Kinabalu: Parti Warisan (Warisan) has proposed a series of recommendations for Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) to overcome its financial challenges.

Its Vice President Datuk Junz Wong said these include renegotiating with Independent Power Producers (IPPs) for reasonable and beneficial power purchase rates and ensure responsible procurement practices within SESB to prevent wasteful spending, wastages and leakages.

He also recommended that business-class travel for SESB employees be discouraged, in order to promote a culture of practicality and fiscal responsibility.

“Eliminate Fixed Delivery Price Schedules with selected companies, including Unumekar Sdn Bhd, Penulaju Sdn Bhd and REMT Utama Sdn Bhd, along with their sub-contractor Larico Infrastructure Sdn Bhd.
