Getting married involves a lot of effort, especially when it comes to wedding planning, choosing attire, and more. If a couple has to suddenly cancel their wedding due to unavoidable circumstances, it can be a significant setback for them.

Just a few days ago, Fatihah Zahra Mohd Hisham shared a carousel of images expressing gratitude to her husband, who had to attend their wedding alone as she was hospitalized with pneumonia. The bride revealed that she was admitted to a hospital in Kuala Lumpur due to pneumonia, preventing her from returning to her husband's hometown in Kedah for the wedding reception.

"I was admitted for five days before the event because of pneumonia. I thought I was fine before the incident. But the night before the ceremony, suddenly my oxygen levels dropped. I had difficulty breathing," Zahra said.

She mentioned that the wedding date had been set when they got engaged last June and couldn't postpone it because all the arrangements had already been made. Despite her declining health, the ceremony had to go on.

Zahra expressed disappointment but decided not to have a second wedding reception even though she is now healthy.

"The event wasn't postponed because that day everything went smoothly, except the bride was absent. My husband and I went ahead with the arrangement as usual. Unfortunately, the day before the ceremony, my health suddenly worsened while I was in the hospital. When it reached the last moment, we couldn't delay all the preparations because everything was ready," Zahra explained.

She mentioned that the wedding pelamin and tent were already set up, and their wedding attire had been collected. In the post, there were pictures of the groom having a video call with his wife being treated in the hospital.

They made these images a memory even though they couldn't be together on the wedding day.

"On the day of the incident, he made a video call while getting ready alone. At that time, he said he cried because I wasn't there. When he sat at the dining table, he cried alone. He couldn't bear to see me because he was sad about the situation while wearing oxygen for smoother breathing," Zahra added.

However, she expressed gratitude for marrying her husband, Ahmad Al-Amin, after six years of knowing each other.
