A recent incident involving Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, the Inspector General of Police, has shown a kinder side of law enforcement. His quick action in assisting an injured motorcyclist during an accident has touched the hearts of Malaysians and highlighted the true dedication of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to public service.
A motorcyclist involved in an accident on the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Highway heading towards the city center earlier this morning was confirmed to have sustained injuries to his left ankle and right hand. The incident was later assisted by the Inspector General of Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.
According to the Director of the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department of Kuala Lumpur, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa, the authorities were alerted to the accident at 7:39 AM, which involved two cars and a motorcycle.
Initial investigations revealed that the Honda Civic, driven in the far right lane, was hit from behind by the motorcycle. Following this, the motorcyclist lost control and crashed into the rear of another vehicle, a Mazda CX-3 SUV.
The accident occurred in the same lane as the convoy of vehicles accompanying the Inspector General of Police. Razarudin stopped his vehicle and provided immediate assistance to the motorcyclist before traffic officers arrived at the scene.
The motorcyclist, a 56-year-old man, sustained injuries to his left ankle and right hand. After rendering initial help, Tan Sri Razarudin left the scene. Earlier reports indicated that Razarudin, along with his officers, helped the motorcyclist, who is also a member of the People's Volunteer Corps (RELA), and assisted in controlling traffic at the site.
The video of the incident gained widespread attention and praise from the public, who commended Razarudin for demonstrating leadership by example.
Previously, the public has frequently shared experiences of receiving help from the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) during various emergencies. Further elaborating, Mohd Zamzuri stated that the victim was transported to Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz via ambulance for further treatment.
This act of kindness by Tan Sri Razarudin Husain serves as a reminder that the true spirit of public service lies in compassion and care for others. It is a powerful example of leadership through action, proving that kindness can make a difference in building trust and unity. Let’s continue to support and appreciate the good work done by our police officers. #SpreadPositivity
